Rob practices in the areas of Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Tax Planning. His business practice includes sales of businesses, mergers and acquisitions and reorganizations. Rob is described as “business savvy,” “creative,” “proactive,” “solutions oriented” and “knowledgeable” in the areas in which he practices.

Prior to rejoining Hurley Re as Of Counsel, Rob was a partner in several firms, including Perkins Coie and Hershner Hunter.

He received his J.D. from Yale Law School. He earned his B.A. in Economics with highest honors from Michigan State University where he received the Wall Street Journal Award as the most outstanding business graduate in his class. He was also a Supply Officer on the USS Barry (DD 933).

Over the years, Rob has been active in various Oregon State Bar sections and a number of civic, business and charitable groups. He is currently a member of Mt. Bachelor Rotary and OK Group 27. He has been a youth soccer coach and was the manager and goalkeeper of the Horse Brass Celtic soccer team in the Oregon Soccer Football Association.

Rob spends his free time kayaking and biking with family and friends. He is a Lemond Cycling certified spin class instructor.
